Sacrament of the Sick
We will pray for patience, strength and a speedy recovery;
and we will anoint those in need with the Oil of the Sick.
This sacrament may take several forms:
The priest can visit the home of the person to be anointed. The participation of family and friends are strongly encouraged to witness the ecclesial character of the sacrament.
The parish can invite the sick person to participate in a scheduled healing liturgy along with family and friends.
The priest can visit hospitals, nursing homes and other long-term care facilities, such as hospice facilities, for anointing.
